Having worked as an accountant for most of my professional career I’ve been seconded onto the REP committee to look after the finances.
I’ve always considered myself a Shakespearean and Early Modern drama enthusiast obsessively attending the theatre for as many productions as I can fit into my schedule. However, in 2017 I crossed the road from the theatre and entered The Shakespeare Institute. I completed the PG Diploma in 2020, having spent three delightful years studying part time. In 2024 I finally completed my MA writing my dissertation on Titus Andronicus.
Joining REP lets me continue enjoying early modern drama without the stress of assignment deadlines.
My favourite EM play is Ford’s ’Tis Pity She’s a Whore. My favourite Shakespeare play is King Lear although I believe The Tempest to be his best. I’m also a fan of Ben Jonson but please don’t tell anyone.
